Winter Park, FL

Winter Park is a city in the county of Orlando Florida and it was originally created to be a winter resort. For those thinking of settling down in Winter Park, it is a good place for a family to live and is one of the safest places to raise children. A couple of years back the municipal government worked hard to tackle the problem of aggressive driving and speeding in the residential districts and the downtown area. The speed limits were lowered to 20 miles per hour in some places and they changed the roads to special brick roads great for traffic-calming. These laws are also quite strict when it comes to enforcing the speed limits in the city. The downside of this is that there is some traffic congestion within the city, but this helps in keeping the residents safe and those who are merely driving through the city also tend to seek alternative routes.

Access to educational institutions is also something that encourages most people to settle down in Winter Park city. With about six colleges and several high schools, there is a vibrant community of students and families.
